When it comes to preparing for Christmas, there are so many different ways to get your children involved and excited about the holiday. Advent is a time in December that is widely celebrated especially in Christian communities. It is essentially the time to prepare for the “coming of Jesus”. It is a time for giving and helping others around you. It is a time to show we care.

Advent calendars were created for a way to help children participate in this “preparation. As we all can agree, children don’t have very long attention spans ,especially younger ones. So having them sit through stories upon stories might not be their cup of tea.

Try an Advent Calendar in your house this year! Get your kids involved in the countdown. Teach them something about Christmas every single day or if you are religious tell them ONE thing about . There Jesus everyday. There are so many fun ways to get creative with an advent calendar!
